Scary times

I was scared when I was running through gorse  hunting a wild boar!!!!! I ran down the hill, after my cousin and I had cleared away the gorse we fell in some mud.

We quickly got out but by the time we were out the dogs and my uncle had killed the boar.

Yesterday I went to Walhalla a river in the Yukon, with my auntie, my mother, my brother and  my grandmother. I cast my line and again and again then I suddenly caught one!! I snagged it out of the water it walloped on the ground for a few seconds then my mum smacked the *grayling on the head with a heavy glass bottle. Then I caught another one same way.  My pesky brother George did well gutting and scaling it.

*A grayling is a small fish of the Yukon.

GEORGE

George is my little brother and he is very mischievous.  George loves stealing treats.  He will do what he can to wind me up, he chased me and my friend Harry with a axe.  He pushed me into my aunties pool.  He's a very annoying little brother.

THE FLOWER

THE FLOWER.
The flower is wondrous.
It is stunning and it is as bright as a yellow snowflake.
They are a wild flower and they grow in gardens.
There petals are shaped like rain drops.
There stalks grow straight and there leaves pop out.
They need sun, water and earth.
There roots hold them in the earth.

Most of them smell really good.

SLJ - STRANGEST PLANTS IN THE WORLD

STRANGEST PLANTS IN THE WORLD.

I CHOSE THE VENUS FLY TRAP AND THE PITCHER PLANT AS MY STRANGEST PLANTS.

SIMILARITIES.

THEY ARE SIMILAR BECAUSE THEY BOTH EAT FLYS AND STUFF SO ARE BOTH CARNIVOROUS.
BOTH PLANTS HAVE UNUSUAL LEAF STRUCTURES AND ARE VERY COOL.
BOTH PLANTS HAVE SPECIAL ENZYMES TO DIGEST PREY.

DIFFERENCES.

VENUS FLYTRAPS USE THERE LOBES(LEAVES) TO TRAP PREY, PITCHER PLANTS TRAP THERE PREY IN SPECIAL LIQUID.
PITCHER PLANTS SMELL NICE TO ATTRACT PREY, VENUS FLYTRAPS DO NOT.
VENUS FLYTRAPS GROW IN CANADA, PITCHER PLANTS DO NOT.

THIS PHOTO IS OF A PITCHER PLANT AND IS FROM GETTY IMAGES.
PHOTO IS FROM GETTY IMAGES OF A VENUS FLYTRAP.
