Marlin teasers come many shapes and sizes. Marlin teasers are a lure that you drag along the surface when you see a marlin you wind it up and then throw a rigged live bait in.

There are lots of types such as jet bullet head, doorknob, slanted head. They also come in colours- red, blue, green, black, gold and purple.

My father is trying to sell lots of them. some of them have never been towed before.
He owns a boat named the Sea Hunter.

My sticks and stones project

I made a little house out of sticks and stones. It had a stone floor.

It had a stone door and stick roofs  and walls.

It also had a stick gate to keep intruders out and prisoners in.

The stone were as strong as nails. I think my skinks would love it.  

My dream spaceship

My dream spaceship.

WHOOSH!!! My dream spaceship is a plane that can fly into space and handle the atmosphere of other planets that it lands on.

My dream spaceship has a little space motor bike that can turn into a mini dune buggy.

My spaceship also has a extra motor as fast as a peregrine falcon.

the learning behind the task was using a poem to describe yourself.
I found this task hard because you had to find adjective starting with a letter of your name.
what I found easy writing my name down the side of the page.
something I learnt to do was write a acrostic poem in colour.

Maths 1 geometry safari

We went on a Geometry Safari to see how many 2D and
3D shapes we could find in the playground. Here is our list of what we
found and geometry is everywhere!

Science 1 me and my DNA

This term for science we are learning all about how the human body works and how special we all are. We are also trying to learn how to think and act more like a scientist. So, Miss Fletcher asked us to look at our faces in the mirror and write down notes about what we look like. The information had to be precise and clear so that when someone read it, it would help them find the person it described quickly. It was a bit like being a detective. You had to look and notice things carefully.


 Miss Fletcher said that what we look like depends on our mother and father. Making a new human is a bit like making a cake. You get some ingredients from your mum and some from your dad. The ingredients are called DNA. Everybody’s cake is different to everyone else’s.


 Miss Fletcher said the person with the most efficient description was Andrew J as he wrote: My hair is 1cm long all over. He is the only student in Team Moana with a haircut like that so he was able to be identified very easily. You can read my description below. The sentences highlighted in blue are the ones that Miss Fletcher said were not precise and clear enough. Twelve people said they could recognise me from my description.

Me and my DNA

I have pale skin, long dark brown and wavy hair.
I have pale pink lips and lots of red dots on my skin.
I have a little scar on my forehead. I have green eyes .

This term we have been reading a book called Whitebait Fritters the author is Kingi McKinnon . The task I did was fun because we got to create an animation. We had to do six tasks. I found the learning behind the task was whitebait and feelings.
